MEMBERSHIP

The Racine Taxpayers Association currently has a membership of about fifty individuals.

For privacy reasons we do not publish the names of the members, but our members come from a broad spectrum of people in all walks of life.

We have members who have been school board members of both Unified and Gateway, county board supervisors and state representatives.  In the past we have had aldermen, mayors and county executives as members.

Our members consist of lawyers, consultants in various fields, housewives, businessmen and women, retired people and people that work in the trades.

If there is a common thread among our members it is a desire to get a decent exchange for the taxes they pay.

Thus anyone who has a concern about their property taxes and whether he or she is getting his or her money's worth, will be interested in becoming a member of the Racine Taxpayers Association.  Those in government are concerned about the waste, fraud and abuse extant in government will also join us...thus the many elected officials that also join our membership.

You will seldom find those who rely on government to provide them everything they need at whatever expense a member of our ranks.  They are generally the people you hear criticizing our efforts to promote fiscal responsibility in government.

Would you fit in as a member of the Racine Taxpayers Association?

Just ask yourself whether you feel happy about what you get in exchange for the property taxes you pay.  If so, we wish you well.  But if you feel you can get a better deal, that much of your taxes are wasted on unneeded governmental expenses, then you may want to join us in our efforts.
